The Prestwick Tennis and Swim Club Trash Dumpster is for the Tennis and Swim Club trash only. This dumpster is not for residential use and fines will be assessed accordingly. Please refer to the Trash and Recycling Schedule for residents detailed in this newsletter.

Parking on grass areas is prohibited. Vehicles found to be violating this rule will be told once then towed at the owner's expense for future violations.

CAUTION: There is NO public access to the beach through the Long Bay Estates Community. Please refrain from driving in and out of Long Bay and dropping off your children on their beach. Long Bay Estates is a private community and they will contact the Horry County Police for those Prestwick residents that decide to Trespass. Access to the beach can be gained from the Myrtle Beach State Park.

Did you know...Prestwick now has a 'Beautification Committee'? The main objective of this committee is to assist our landscaper with keeping Prestwick as one of the most pristine neighborhoods in Myrtle Beach. Currently, this highly motivated group of property owners is preparing new landscaping plans for all of the many entrances to Prestwick and its internal communities. Some trees are going to be pruned, some removed and some replaced.

Some of the existing grasses are going to be replaced with more natural settings utilizing flowering bushes and shrubs. Eventually all of the road islands within Prestwick will be upgraded. The overall intent of this effort is to improve the curb appeal of Prestwick. All this is going to take time, so you are asked to please be patient.

Did you know... Associated with the many 'curb appeal' initiatives currently in the works, the one that is getting the most attention right now is the illegal parking of vehicles on grass. Yes... if you or anyone in your household is parking on your lawn or common area anytime during the day or night, expect to get a nice letter from your neighborhood management company. Your Board has instructed the Manager to crack down on all grass parking violators.

Also, did you know...Leaving your trashcan out in your driveway, visible to passersby on the street is detrimental to good 'curb appeal', and violators could also be subject to receiving a citation? This might all seem trite and a ridiculous nuisance to some; however, your POA is responsible for doing everything in its power to work to improve property values within Prestwick. What seems trite to some is also a blessing to many others, so for you violators... hide your trashcans or standby.

Did you know...Your Board is considering sponsoring a petition drive involving Prestwick property owners, Lakewood Elementary, and Crystal Lake to have a traffic light installed at the intersection of Prestwick Drive and Highway 544? We need someone to assist in coordinating this effort. Why should we continue to play vehicular Russian roulette every time we leave the neighborhood? If you are interested in helping, please contact one of your Board Members immediately... we need you! Why wait for someone else to get hurt or worse?

Have you noticed...The landscaping improvements on some of the properties around Prestwick...your POA has. For those of you who have taken a much-needed and appreciated interest in your lawns and shrubbery...we applaud you. Keep up the good work.

Did you know...When you discard moving boxes, they must be laid flat (broken down). Yard debris needs to be bagged, and sticks/branches must be bundled and tied before Waste Management will remove them?

Did you know...Anytime you submit a check to Prestwick it MUST be made payable to Prestwick POA whether you are paying for your quarterly dues, late payments, late or delinquent fees, security devices, ARB submissions, etc. Please use Prestwick POA (not Chicora) on your checks.
