Hurricane Preparedness
June 1st is the official start of the hurricane season. Are you prepared for the next hurricane that may hit the Grand Strand? Hopefully, the Grand Strand will not be subject to these forces of "Mother Nature"…an intense tropical weather system with a well-defined circulation with sustained winds of 75 mph.
If the Prestwick community is subject to a hurricane, the following procedures will be in place to assist with an organized recovery and clean up:
Dumpsters will be placed at the Clubhouse and, if required, at the Tennis facility.
If you are able, please place your debris in one of the available dumpsters.
Cut tree limbs and/or related shrubbery to less than eight feet in length.
Stack the limbs/shrubbery in an orderly manner at your curb.
All pine straw, pinecones and other small debris MUST be BAGGED.
Only debris that was the result of hurricane damage will be removed.

Recommended evacuation route -take SC 544 to US 501.
Closest shelter locations - Conway Elementary School, located at 1101 Snowhill Dr., Conway, SC 29526 and the Pee Dee Elementary School, located at 6555 Hwy 134 Conway, SC 29527.
